Let’s deal with the obvious first shall we.
Yes, it’s friday night.
Yes, I’m sitting at home…with my mom…watching the hockey game…
And yes, doing that and writing in this blog is all I have planned for this evening.
Moving on…
I’ve only recently switched to WordPress and although I like it A LOT more than blogger, there is one thing I miss. And that was being able to redesign/create templates for free.
The free templates here on WordPress are nice, but not really me, so I’m been thinking about adding the custom CCS upgrade.
Problem #1 – $15 a year…what can I say, I’m cheap!
Cue problem #2 – Not to sound cocky but I like to think of myself as, how do I put it, technologically advanced (but only just). That being said, I haven’t had much experience with CCS so when I decided to play around with it a bit tonight…I was so lost.
The second thing I’ve been thinking about is where I want to go in this big blogging world. I’ve always used my blog as a place to put my thoughts into words, even if it was for no one but myself. I have been known to give a candid look into my life which has, at times, backfired…as it seems I have a problem remembering this is posted on the Internet.
Not such a private place.
But I have a lot of fun when I’m in blogging mode! I have never in my life kept a journal or diary or anything of the sort (well, at least nothing that has lasted more than a week) so it’s been really nice to have the last 3 years of my life documented. I don’t like the fact that I have to be surface level to not offend anyone, I like being able to share exactly what’s on my mind. So that’s caused me to think about starting an ‘Anon’ blog. It has it’s appeals, but it’s still limiting. And then people I know won’t be able to read it, which is really the whole point…especially with all the changes coming up…
Anyway, that’s this week’s ‘Sound Off.’ Once again, using this blog to put my random thoughts in writing.
