I was going to update with this quirky entry of my weekend. However, getting very little sleep and moving a 100lb bed set into a full storage space by yourself does not leave one quirky.
Even though my body and I are no longer on speaking terms, I am pretty proud of myself…I think I got a couple new muscles
When not putting my body through obstacles it is (and this was a sobering revelation) not in shape to do, I spent some time in the hospital. Not for me, but my big brother, Mark. He had emergency brain surgery to remove a cyst. Thankfully, he’s doing really well and should be out of the hospital soon.
I’m going to give a quick rundown of the famdamly, because even I get confused!
In my ‘about me’ section, I mentioned that my dad has a hobby. I have since been corrected by my father. He called me up the other day and told me this:
“I noticed on your blog that you said I have a hobby of getting married and having lots of babies. I’m a little disappointed, don’t you know it’s more of a passion HAHAHA!”
Oh Faja, you slay me with the puns
Dad’s first marriage was to Pat and they had:
Chris, Mark, and Michelle
Then to Linda and they had:
Angella and Melanie
Then Shona:
ME, Lance (18), Chad (16), and Courtney(14)
Then to the one we shall not mention because I personally can’t say anything about her without the addition of some very colourful language.
And now he’s living with his current girlfriend, who I might as well call his wife, so I will, wife, Gail.
You can read about the last time we were all together here.
So it was my job to keep Ange, Mel and my immediate family updated on all things ‘Mark’ related. Linda was visiting Mel, so I had some conversations with her, and my mom. Then Pat flew from Ontario to see Mark and I had breakfast with her and Gail.
I really just had to sit back and shake my head with disbelief. My family rocks. We might not get along all the time, but when it comes to what’s important…I get to hang out with 4 of my dad’s 5 wives. Good times!
There’s one more thing I want to clear up before I go watch some Friends and have a frozen juice box (I’m not gonna lie, that’s exactly what I’m going to do
) In case you haven’t noticed, I tend to have a very dry and sarcastic humour. And I’m also very blunt and to the point. Sometimes, the fact that I usually write these posts with a smile on my face and have been known to read them over and make myself laugh (did I also mention I’m a nerd?) doesn’t come across very well. So if you don’t get it, I don’t mind a little email asking for a little clarification.
Be happy

I get it!! And I also think your whole family rocks! I love them all. Please send my love on to Mark and hope he is doing fine. I also thank you for all of your postings. yep I love your sense of humour and I love to keep up to date with your life. You are my girl. Love you
