love…..

I had a pretty mild Valentines.  I’m not a big fan of the day and could really care less if someone buys me flowers or chocolates.
That isn’t being said in the always annoying ‘I’m going to tell you I don’t want these things when I actually do’ kinda way.
Where does it say ‘let your yes be yes, and your no be no’?

Oh ya, THE BIBLE

Thunder and lightning bolts…that’s all I’m going to say.

Anyway, flowers die and I only like certain kinds of chocolate and besides that, I don’t want my guy to feel forced to give me something on that one day.
I want him to give me gifts every single day on his own free will.*

All that being said, I do enjoy creative displays of romance.  I once got fake flowers because my boyfriend at the time knew how much real flowers dying upset me :)

I was officially asked to be Marissa’s valentine, but since I didn’t see her all day, and she has a boyfriend….it was just mom and I.
I ate bought her chocolates and picked up pizza made her dinner.  Then we sat on the couch watching friends and the hockey game.

It was FANTASTIC :)

*FYI, that rule doesn’t apply to mandatory gift giving days such as birthdays and Christmas. ;)

  1. Sounds like a fun Valentine’s day with your Mom!
I agree about the spontaneous gift-giving. Why only do it on special occasions? ;-)

  2. I agree with you regarding your take on flowers. Bonding with your mom during Valentine’s Day is actually sweet. =) I didn’t get to do anything on that day except work and then get home jsut to eat, shower and then sleep. *lol*
